Anne speaks in the ART IN YOUR EAR interview about finding out that her friend died due to a sudden summer storm. As a similar storm blew in to her town a few days later, Anne faced the power of nature and and wrote these verses addressing the wind and rain. The concluding lines express just how far her soul has moved towards healing from the trauma.
