Anne Speaks at Adult Learning Center/DelVal College

On November 16th, Anne gave a lecture on screenwriting, dramaturgy and literary management at the Adult Learning Center of Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA.

She was invited by Helen Wolf, who introduced her to the thirty or so senior citizens gathered for the event.

Anne shared dvds and books of plays which she worked on with various playwrights and filmmakers, such as:  Lynn Nottage (2009 Pulitzer Prize winner for RUINED. Anne dramaturged LAS MENINAS); Leslie Lee (SUNDOWN NAMES AND NIGHTGONE THINGS, Theodore Ward Prize for Best African-American play); Noah Lukeman (Anne spearheaded an international campaign to find a producer for his THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH PART TWO -THE SEED OF BANQUO); MARBLE MOUNTAIN (Anne dramaturged the screenplay STONE DANCER, based on Wayne Karlin’s novel); and AboutFace (Anne helped screenwriter/director Enrique Menendez turn his poem TRIGGER into the text for the film, which was screened on World AIDS Day in NYC on December 1, 2007).

She also described her work as a columnist on Healing through the Arts for the Open to Hope Foundation, and shared her process for developing THE STACY PLAY – A LOVE SONG – VOLUME I, which appeared in TRANSITIONS, an international juried Virtual Exhibit created by Pen and Brush (NYC).
