Anne Hamilton/Hamilton Dramaturgy

New Poem

Syria Crisis Ad, pg. 108, This Week’s New Yorker

liberalism, democracy

air strikes.

UN sanctions, conservative filibuster

budget debate, Obamacare

I’m scared. Help me.

         There’s not enough food.

       It’s hot. My sister’s dead.

   And Mommy can’t move.

One set of hurt eyes – a little boy’s –

Tell me that words are cheap

when people are dying.

Stop. Wasting. Time.  Do. Something. Right.

Now.
