The Movement Theatre Company will present Wilson Revised: A Celebration of August Wilson at the Studio Museum in Harlem (144 W. 125th Street) on Sunday Dec 4th from 2pm – 4pm. This unique, FREE event will showcase five new short plays based on Wilson’s work alongside excerpts from Wilson’s 10-play cycle. Playwrights involved include Colman Domingo, Dominique Morisseau, Christina Anderson, Keith Josef Adkins, and Christine Jean Chambers. For more information see www.themovementtheatrecompany.org
I heard the word from The New Black Fest, a great new national organization led by Co-Artistic Directors Keith Josef Adkins and J. Holtham. Jay was a playwriting student at the Actors Studio Drama School when I served there as the academic advisor to the faculty and students. Congratulations, Jay.
